I'm so glad I stiped by this restaurant on my way home. The atmosphere was very chill and they answered all the questions I had about the menu. The jerk chicken was very good. The cabbage was even better. I will definitely go back bc I want to try other items on the menu.

The Sweet Potato Cake is SENSATIONAL! Food is consistent with the quality of Tropicana restaurants for years. The plantains are always ripe and perfect. Love the curry chicken and once again, THE SWEET POTATO Cake!

The Customer service at this place is thee worst. I was never greeted or addressed,or even asked if I wanted to place an order. When I finally did get my order in ,the service was so terrible I just asked for my money back. The guy with the blonde faux hawk should not be working with the public. He was beyond rude. I will never return again

The Tropicana Eatery is now the Caribbean Grill located in a strip mall in District Heights, Maryland. I went with my friend. I ordered the Curry Goat and he ordered the Curry Chicken. The presentation was nice. Both dishes came with cabbage and rice and beans. My Curried Goat was fall-off-the-bone tender with not a lot of bones. His Curry Chicken was also fall-off-the-bone tender. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food. Note: The curry comes with a little heat. It is not overpowering. It is very flavorful. The young lady behind the counter was VERY nice. I would definitely recommend this establishment. Added plus is FREE wi-fi as well as the three big screen televisions.
